"Trembling Aspens on Day's Road" - Print
“Trembling Aspens on Day’s Road” centres around the early summer morning light coming through a copse of trembling aspen trees that are along Day’s Road at Jackfish Lake, in northern Saskatchewan.
Day’s Beach is the neighbouring beach of my families cabin. There is a nice walking path that cuts through a pair of fields connect the two. The backroad of Day’s Beach is surrounded by glorious lush greenery and fields. It is perfectly tranquil, has beautiful morning light, and the chance to see some illusive snowshoe hares.
The dark shadows with the electric highlights and the small gap in the trees is what drew me to this image. It sort of feels like the prairie equivalent of Narnia, a magical world lies beyond the Aspens. And the old fence post or the wooden dowel painted orange that is just behind, is the lamppost guiding you there.
I hope that this scene entices you to visit my Narnia by adding it to your collection.
